Dear Rally Competitors, Officials and Supporters,

With the COVID-19 Pandemic having reached our shores, we are all aware of the crises at hand and the necessity to take all possible steps to prevent the uncontrolled spread of this highly contagious virus. We take note of the decisive steps taken by Government, SASCOC and MSA in the Suspension of social gatherings and sporting events.

In light of the above and because we always put the safety of our competitors and the public first, we have no other option but to postpone. Round 1 of the SA National Rally Championship, the NTT Toyota Delmas. The rally which should have taken place from 27 to 28 March. The situation is highly unpredictable and we don’t know how long it will continue, but the NRC Steering Committee will keep an eye on the situation and we will do our best to get the 2020 season back on track as soon as it is safe to do so.

We will keep you informed, but for now, we hope to still be able to have a rally in April as published in the calendar. As you know, rallies in certain areas can only be held during certain times of the year, due to the seasonal conditions like rain, fire hazards etc. We may have to reshuffle some dates and venues a bit and will consult with all the organisers around the country to come up with a workable calendar
for the rest of 2020.

We wish everybody well during this unprecedented situation. Please keep yourselves and your loved ones safe. We look forward to living our passion for Rallying with all of you soon.

Warm regards

The National Rally Steering Committee.
